Should you try? Worth a try, come for the fish tacos.

Dorado's Fish Taco

The Brookline, MA taqueria opened a new location near Union Square, offering tacos, cemitas and other Mexican dishes.  The NYC location just opened in early January and is worth a try.  I’ve had three different tacos (~$3 ea), and the fish taco is by far the best.

Baja Original Taco (beer battered Atlantic white fish, cabbage, crema, pickled onions, salsa fresca): By far the best taco of the ones I’ve tried.  The taco was well-balanced, mixing nicely fried fish, a subtle sourness from the crema and pickled white onions and crunch from the cabbage.

Chorizo Taco (house-made pork chorizo, guacamole, salsa fresca): The chorizo has a little kick and a little sweetness from either cinnamon or nutmeg.

Grilled Steak Taco (Guacamole, queso fresco, roasted tomato habanero sauce): Of the three, the steak taco had the least flavor.  The guacamole was good and the steak was well cooked, but overall this taco wasn’t as flavorful.
